when people ask me how many tenth doctors i have played i say “um…” because i had to make a chart
(emails that i currently remember are blurred ofc, as well as the one secret ten)
and i LOVE exploring ten, he really evolves over the course of his various series until he’s just a shadow of his original self. seeing as he becomes desperate and darker is glorious and terrifying.
so why does that matter?
(the short answer is that it doesn’t, i’m reminiscing and rambling. nothing wrong with that, is there? great fun really, bit of text going on and on and on and…. oh yeah.)
the long answer is that i had to put in my laptop last week for service, and as the hard drive had to be replaced and my backup had problems, i lost about half my gifs of ten. to put it in perspective, this is what my gif folder looked like. i lost the fem!ten folder, many of the gifs within the miscellaneous folder, and everything after.
do i technically need them anymore, since i retired? not technically, no. but i still want them, which means rebuilding 15+ folders and hunting down all my former, beloved gifs. it means reminiscing about using the gifs and smiling at particularly good uses for them. these gifs helped me to sink into someone else when i was hurting, and playing ten honestly made me, alana, a better person.
and thus the rambling ends.
